Curious about the link between event management software and how it's impacting the future of the events industry? Read on.

In-person events are experiencing a resurgence with a renewed sense of excitement. Attending events in person is as important as ever, and now, using event management software has become crucial for the future of the events industry – and with good reason

Event management software is the driving force behind the evolution of events, revolutionising the way attendees engage and interact at both in-person and virtual gatherings. By seamlessly integrating technology into planning and execution,  the overall experience for participants, speakers, and planners alike becomes more enjoyable - its benefits are truly transformative.

The Future of the Events Industry

Founder of Endless Events, current Head of Klik at Bizzabo & event industry influencer, Will Curran believes the future of events is all about fusing technology, content, and community.

"I think there’s a new generation of planners that are now emerging from the pandemic and are more technologically savvy than ever. I would love to see technology really continue to get infused into events and that’s where I see it changing. At the moment, I think a lot of the industry is afraid of technology because of Murphy’s Law and the potential that things could go wrong.

I also see in the future that our events are going to become about having a really deep experience - generic experiences aren’t going to fly anymore. People are going to say “why should I go to this when I have this opportunity to go to this really high quality, rich, amazing experience that’s designed down to the detail.”

As technology continues to improve, it’s going to become easier and easier to communicate virtually. Whether that’s augmented reality or virtual reality, or just the constant improvement of cameras and audio quality, I think that’s a big future for us. There’s going to be a common place for more and more people to want to meet online potentially before they meet in person. Maybe even the ability to attend events virtually with a deeper experience like virtual reality, for example."

How Event Management Software is Transforming Modern Events

Improved Engagement and Interaction

iVvy_Icon-29With features like online polls, live Q&A sessions, and gamification, event management software significantly boosts attendee engagement. These interactive tools make sessions more dynamic and inclusive, allowing virtual attendees to participate actively. Gamification elements, such as leaderboards and interactive challenges, keep attendees motivated and engaged throughout the event, enhancing their overall experience.

Data-Driven Insights for Better Planning

iVvy_Icon-22Event management software collects and analyses a wealth of data on attendee behaviour, session popularity, and feedback. This data provides invaluable insights that help event managers understand what works and what doesn't. By leveraging these insights, event planners can make informed decisions, improve future event planning, and deliver more personalised and impactful experiences to attendees.

Cost Efficiency and Resource Management

iVvy_Icon-46Hybrid events, supported by event management software, allow for more efficient resource allocation. By capping in-person attendance and expanding virtual participation, event managers can opt for smaller venues, reducing costs related to space, food, and accommodation. Additionally, digital solutions for invitations, signage, event templates, and BEOs cut down on printing and logistics expenses. The software's ability to streamline operations further reduces the need for extensive on-site staff, lowering overall operational costs.

Extended Engagement and Resource Access

iVvy_Icon-31Event management software provides attendees with ongoing access to digital resources, such as session recordings, downloadable materials, and networking contacts. This extended access ensures that the event's impact continues long after it has ended, allowing attendees to revisit valuable content and maintain connections. For event managers, this sustained engagement helps build a loyal attendee base and enhances the long-term value of their events.

Embracing Technology for Ongoing Event Success

With the help of event management software, event managers can now create more engaging, cost-effective, and wider-reaching events than ever before. The trend toward hybrid events and the use of software tools not only meets the changing demands of modern audiences but sets a new standard for the future of events.
